A perinatal network is a state or multi-state network of multidisciplinary teams working to improve maternal and infant health outcomes.
Lower Hudson Valley Perinatal Network is a partner of Children’s Health & Research Foundation Inc.
The mission of LHVPN is:

To support and enhance maternal, child and family health services in Rockland & Westchester counties;

To eliminate disparities in the health status of women, children and families in our region;

To develop and maintain a constituency to support maternal, child and family health services;

To influence public policy regarding maternal, child and family health.
​
Vision:
Every pregnancy is healthy and wanted, and all women and families receive the support and services they need in a respectful environment.
HISTORY:
In 2004, to create the LHVPN, the Regional Perinatal Center at Westchester Medical Center was awarded a March of Dimes Chapter Community Service Grant MOD Greater NY Chapter, Hudson Valley and Westchester/Rockland Divisions.

LHVPN is 1 of 14 Perinatal Networks in NYS.

In 2006, LHVPN became a NYS DOH funded Comprehensive Prenatal-Perinatal Network under the leadership of Cheryl Hunter-Grant, Inaugural Executive Director.

In 2010, LHVPN became a program of the Children’s Health & Research Foundation, Inc.
​Since taking the helm of the Lower Hudson Valley Perinatal Network in 2010, CHRF has been at the forefront of maternal and child health initiatives. Together, we can create a healthier future for our community. Support us in making a difference!
