A CHRF Encounter with Baby Emie & Mommy:

"The last time we had an in-person baby cafe at the Greenburg Library in July Emie was about 8 weeks old. I was an overwhelmed, anxious and exhausted new mom who was super nervous to breastfeed in public for the first time. All the moms we're so sweet and supportive. They normalized breastfeeding public for me. At one point someone was fanning me, someone else was holding up my bf cover, another was coaching me through the feeding and another was encouraging and cheering me on. That day in that room I cried, laughed, overcame a fear and felt so incredibly supported. Today, I breastfeed again in the same place but this time I didn't think about it twice. It's second nature. And I realized how much I've grown, with help from you all. I am so proud of this picture, my journey thus far and so grateful for all of you."
